It's good, I think—for me and Zakk especially—this is good to see.

Oh, why just for you and Zakk?

Because the Bolt Card was—

Oh, I thought you meant the failure on stage is good to see.

Oh God, that's harsh.

That's good, but you watch that, you watch that monstrosity and go, “That's good for me and Zakk”?

You couldn't even out—

Until you touch your mic.

Oh no, sorry. Third time’s a charm.

Alright guys, welcome back. This is Britcoiners, episode 172. Don’t forget—like and subscribe, you know the deal now.

Nice one, Molly, thank you.

Agenda this week: we've got Relay, we've got Trump Gala, we’ve got Florida’s Bitcoin bill, Square news, GameStop news, Jack Dorsey, and the Bitcoin landfill guy's back on the agenda.

There's loads of good conference news to turn over, isn’t there? Looked like fun in Vegas.

Whoa, whoa, we’ve not done the price yet!

You guys piled on me last week for not addressing the price.

Wildly said the price hadn’t moved much last week—I remember that, that was angering me.

And then after the podcast, it shot up to—didn’t it shoot up to 111-ish?

It says high since last episode was 106. I don’t think that’s right. I think I may not have updated the—

Nice one.

We haven’t even down to 106.

Someone always lets us down with this price.

You are, Molly.

It’s not me this week.

Yeah, so highs—was it—did we hit 111 or 112?

111, I think.

It was 111.750 or something, just short of 112.

Was it 111.9 I’ve got there?

See now, this week I'm excited.

That's good.

Is that the all-time high?

It was, wasn’t it?

It was, yeah.

Just a short time—112, 111.

What a time to be alive.

Just a USD high though, was it not in GBP?

That's true, actually—not many people made a deal of that.

It’s just—

I think we did get a GBP high, did we not?

Oh, was that the—that was the other one when it went to $109,000?

Yes, I think—yeah.

Are we not—

109—no, 89 GBP?

80-something, yeah.

So we did get that recently but not—

Not this time. Not this week.

Right, cool.

Good to see all-time high. Yeah—woo.

Okay, Relay—Relay have removed their Lightning wallet apparently.

What do you have to say on that?

Well, I thought it was big news and I ticked it thus because I thought they were one of the first ones to actually remove Lightning that I could think of, and they're probably the only one I've heard of to remove anyone’s Lightning recently.

What we’ve been involved with is where Lightning’s going—developments on Lightning—and it’s all been quite interesting Lightning stuff.

This is quite a juxtaposition for someone to be removing it, citing focus on self-custodying.

And was it—so did they mention security on Lightning wallets? Did anyone read?

I did read it. I can’t remember the security piece.

The first line talks about reliability there, so I wonder if they did, because it was like a non-custodial real Lightning wallet using Blockstream Greenlight, I think, was it?

So maybe there were some UX issues and reliability issues, but I just thought—very interesting move.

It feels backwards, in the nicest of ways.

But I appreciate if they’re trying to obviously just focus on one thing and do one thing well—crack on.

But from a future perspective, you know, everyone else is just currently adding Lightning.

To take it away at the minute is a strange move.

Yeah, I don’t see why—just because they want to focus on self-custody—they have to remove Lightning.

You could—Lightning—

Does it scream regulatory undertones? MEA—they’re trying to go for an MEA licence without really saying that’s what it is, maybe?

Like, they still say they believe in the long-term potential of Lightning.

Yeah, but how can you say that and remove—

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking, like—

Yeah, you can’t—how can something grow if people stop using them?

Yeah, we really believe in it but we’ve completely abandoned it....
